Created by the master of the classical manifestation of Art Deco style in decorative sculpture, this replica dancer statue by Romanian-born Chiparus is meticulously hand-painted to mirror the bronze verdigris original. Dancers of the Russian Ballet, French theatre, and early motion pictures were among Chiparus's notable subjects and were typified by a long, slender, stylized Art Deco appearance. The "Snake Dancer" embodies the winning victory over any foe.
